Anyone who knows me knows this: I hate cooking.

At the same time, I don't enjoy ordering in. And restaurant visits? Lovely, if you have the time and leisure. But if I'm honest, I'd rather eat at home in my sweatpants, then throw myself straight onto the sofa and watch a series.

Yes, I'm simply not the hyperactive nutrition scientist who floats effortlessly off to a yoga class after work or networks in a beer garden. After a long, demanding working day – and I'm sure you know those too – I'm simply too tired for grand gestures. And frankly: by then I just have no desire left to do anything productive.

"There is nothing lovelier than eating comfortably at home without much effort – sweatpants on, hair tied back, and off into a stress-free evening."

Anne Krenzin

The same goes for cooking. When I come home ravenous, I don't want to spend an hour chopping and stirring first. By the time the meal was ready, I'd have snacked my way through half the pantry anyway.

What Makes Me a Recipe Expert?

It's precisely for this reason that I've developed strategies that conjure delicious meals onto my table without long hours at the stove. The simpler, the better. That goes for grocery shopping too. Having to trek to three different specialty shops just to get everything? No, thank you! One trip a week to the supermarket has to be enough. I can happily do without that stress.

Practical tip: Cook several portions whenever possible. There's nothing better than having your next meal already waiting when hunger strikes.

Well, if those aren't good reasons to stay and benefit from my experience. If you, too, don't enjoy cooking but still want fresh meals on your table, this is the perfect opportunity to find some inspiration.

A relaxed evening is guaranteed!
